Nepal and the Himalayas are a bit synonymous because Nepal has the pride of having 8 of the 10 highest peaks on the planet. Nepal not only has mountains but a unique geography made of green hills and valleys, rivers, subtropical and lowland forests adding to the beauty of the country. In addition to geographical diversity, there is incredible cultural diversity within the limits of this former small Himalayan kingdom which became a democratic Republic in 2006.
