The Tamang heritage trail l or route recently opened for supporting the tamang ‘s tradition, custom, culture located between Langtang and Ganesh Himal. A culturally rich region steeped in Tibetan tradition, the local Tamang people are some of the warmest and most welcoming people in Nepal. The way of knowing the Tamang people’s culture, lifestyle is one of the vital important of this trail. Beside this, we can enjoy panoramic mountain views of the nearby peaks and soak in the natural hot springs at Tatopani.
Continuing north towards Tibet, we soak up the heritage and appreciate a local fort, monastery and exquisite local architecture of the Tamang homes. Within easy access of Kathmandu, we ascend the road north towards the Tibetan borderlands and enjoy a relatively gentle circuit trek through picturesque villages, terraced fields, and peaceful valleys
Day 1, Kathmandu, New Generation Trek's representative will be in the airport to receive you and for your transfer to the hotel.
Day 2, sightseeing in Kathmandu valley.
Day 3, Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, drive approx. 7-8 hrs
Day 4, Drive to Goljung and commence trek to Gatlang (2238m). Walk approx. 5 hrs
Day 5, To Tatopani (2607m). Walk approx. 5-6 hrs
Day 6, Trek to Thuman (2338m) via Nagthali (3165m). Walk approx. 7-8 hrs
Day 7, Trek to Timure & Tibetan borderlands. Walk approx. 3-4 hrs
Day 8, Trek to Briddim (2239m) Walk approx. 5-6 hrs
Day 9, In Briddim, rest day
Today we rest and visit the local monastery of Dukchu Gomba, chosen as a sacred site by the great Tibetan Lama - Guru Rinpoche and Chukla Khnaga Gomba.
Day 10, Return trek to Syabrubesi. Walk Approx. 4–5hr s
Day 11, Return to Kathmandu
The drive back to Kathmandu should take approximately 6 hours, on arrival the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 12, Trip concludes in Kathmandu.
