Kanchenjunga Region Trekking Permit

Trekking in the Kanchenjunga region requires two essential permits: the Restricted Area Permit (RAP) and the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Project (KCAP) permit. As a restricted area near the Tibet border, permits must be arranged through a registered Nepali trekking agency, and a licensed guide with a minimum of two trekkers is mandatory

he Kanchenjunga region, located in the remote eastern Himalayas of Nepal near the Tibetan border, is one of the country’s most unspoiled and less-traveled trekking destinations. Due to its restricted status and sensitive border location, special permits are required for all trekkers. These permits must be arranged through a government-registered trekking agency, and independent trekking is not allowed.
