Ganga Tamang, our Director at Nepal New Generation Trek and Adventure, brings over 36 years of extensive trekking experience across Nepal and neighboring regions. Born in the Dolakha district in Thulopatal, the foothills of Everest, Ganga's journey in trekking began at the age of 14 as a porter. Through sheer dedication and incredible energy, he has risen through the ranks to become a renowned High Mountain guide.

Ganga is exceptionally knowledgeable about the socio-economic status and culture of the various ethnic groups encountered along Nepal's trekking routes. He has led numerous treks and expeditions, including those in restricted areas requiring special permits, enabling visitors to experience the local way of life preserved for centuries. His expertise extends beyond Nepal to Bhutan, Tibet, India, Sikkim, Ladakh, and Darjeeling.

Ganga's international experience includes travel to France and several Southeast Asian countries, where he has gained a deep understanding of professional practices and cultural nuances in both European and South Asian contexts.

Ganga has traversed all trekking regions in Nepal, from the renowned Khumbu, Annapurna, Langtang, and Kangchenjunga areas to the remote Saipal and Dolpo regions. He has been to Tibet about fifteen times, guiding clients to Mount Kailash and Amdo, and has led treks in India, including Ladakh.
